Privacy Policy

In principle, none of the programs or apps are automatically captured and passed on.

The user has complete control over the storage of the data and the strength of the encryption by choosing a suitable password. If no password is given, the data is encrypted with a default password.

Only the public keys are stored on the manufacturer's server so that the programs can access them and save the user from entering those keys.

Exception is the program Qu@ero. Here the data of the acquired questionnaires are stored on the server of App4eyes. However, no personal data is collected, such as the name of the patient or the IP address.

AMD - A Metamorphopsia Detector®

Apps and programs developed by

Windows programs

Standard Version

The standard version of the Windows program collects and processes the same data as the Android app. (s.u.)

Professional Version

The professional version of the program collects data on the findings of patients or customers. The data is stored encrypted by the program with a password AES-256 to be entered by the user.

für die Android App

The free app AMD_try collects no data, only shows the possibilities of the Pro version.

The paid Pro version of the app stores the size of the scotome you specify and the data you type to distort (metamorphospsies) under the e - mail address and current date that is stored on your device.
The data are encrypted with the password AES-256 you enter and can be decrypted according to the current state of technology with this password only.
With the pro version of the app, you can send the data to your doctor by e - mail. You must specify the doctor's mail address in the settings and your doctor must have the professional Windows version of the AMD.
The measurements are only sent when you call up the corresponding menu item. To do this, the file is encrypted with the public (RSA-3333-bit) key of your doctor. Only your doctor can decrypt the file with his private key. Even you are - according to the current state of technology - not able to decrypt this file.
The program calculates an index for scotoma and metamorphopsia, which is important for the follow-up control. This value is never saved, but is always calculated. (Data parsimony)

The app requires the following permissions on your device:
Identity: With your identity, the program will only recognize your Google account to create a unique filename. This file name consists of your Google account name and the current date.
Photos / Media / Files: The program requires that the program store data on the external memory (memory card). However, no photos or other media will be read.
Other: Since the program must display information from the Internet, it is necessary to read the network status.
The rights in detail:
Write_external_storage: to allow the app to write the data not only to the - usually small - internal memory, the authorization for the external memory is necessary.
Read_external_storage: if the data has been written to your external memory, the app must also have permission to read the data from the external memory.
Get_accounts: to save your data under a unique filename, the app needs the mail address from your account data.
Manage_Accounts: is required to read the mail address from your account (see above)
Internet: in order to make your public key available to others, this is stored on the manufacturer's server. To allow this, the app must be able to access the Internet. This is done with the right:
Access_Network_state: The right to access the network status allows the app to determine if a network exists and whether it is useful to access the network. If the app could not determine the status, the app would block.
